LEARNTEC Convention 2026: Call for papers now open

Topics relating to digital education to be submitted by September 7, 2025

The call for papers for the LEARNTEC conference, Europe's most important event for digital education in schools, universities and the workplace, is now open. The conference will take place from May 5-7, 2026, in Karlsruhe. Interested speakers can submit their topic proposals online from now until September 7 this year, and across multiple categories if appropriate. The convention will highlight current challenges, innovations and trends through digital education in lectures, workshops and panel discussions. Applications in English are also welcome.

The event will focus on corporate learning and cover topics such as AI and AI strategy, learning ecosystems, learning design, experience and cultures, modern learning technologies and analytics, personnel development as a driver of modern learning and content development. In addition, submissions may also support the key focus areas of university@learntec, school@learntec, early childhood education and AR/VR.

“To ensure that lifelong learning does not remain just a buzzword that is often used but rarely implemented, we need concepts that take a holistic, practical and technology-supported approach to education”, explains Sünne Eichler, from the LEARNTEC Convention Committee. “The LEARNTEC Convention brings together precisely those players who are actively shaping this change in the workplace and at universities.“

Prof. Dr. Peter A. Henning adds: “With the call for papers, we will be addressing the issues that are set to drive the digital education community for many years to come. In 2026, we will once again be a platform for discussion and new ideas.”

Committee member Micha Pallesche, who is responsible for school@LEARNTEC, says: “As soon as Digital Pact 2.0 is implemented, schools will have the opportunity to invest specifically in the expansion of digital education offerings. The LEARNTEC school programme will reveal which innovations, practical solutions and concepts are available, and how digital education can enjoy continued success.”

The conference committee, together with a 21 strong team of experts from the fields of education and business, will review all submissions and evaluate them according to criteria such as content quality, relevance, innovativeness and feasibility.
