LEARNTEC - Europe's largest event for digital education in schools, universities and the workplace - is holding a second edition of its online format LEARNTEC xChange from 22 to 24 June 2021. Over three days, participants can expect around 180 expert presentations and discussion forums on the digitalisation of the learning and working world in six parallel live streams. More than 120 industry experts from business and science will share their knowledge with the community and exchange ideas with the participants. Whether future learning, home office as the new normal, social collaboration, future competences or innovative learning strategies and concepts - the network will be offered a broad selection of topics from corporate learning, but also from university teaching and digital schools. The focus will be on networking and personal exchange. All participants and speakers can network via matchmaking and communicate with each other via the online platform.

"Our first online event in February was already a great success, now it's going into the second round! We are looking forward to three inspiring days with great speakers and many exciting topics from all areas of digital education," says René Naumann, LEARNTEC project manager. "The desire for exchange and networking is growing among our community. And the demand for digital solutions in the learning and working world also remains high. With LEARNTEC xChange, despite the lack of a face-to-face event this year, we can at least provide the education industry with a virtual platform for networking and exchanging experiences."

A large part of the lectures will be held in German. However, there will also be a wide range of lectures in English, organised by workplace learning expert Jane Hart.

The entire programme and free tickets for LEARNTEC xChange from 22 to 24 June 2021 are available online at www.learntec.de/xchange.

Top-class keynotes form the framework of the online programme

The three days of the event will each start with a high-profile keynote address. Mohanna Arzamandi will kick things off on Tuesday, 22 June 2021. She is Chief Learning Officer at Microsoft Germany and works together with her team to advance the learning culture and learning innovation among their employees and customers. On Wednesday, 23 June 2021, Prof. Dr Christoph Meinel from the Hasso Plattner Institute will address the synergy of digital education and the future of the internet. On the third and final day of the event, 24 June 2021, Prof. Dr. Dirk Ifenthaler from the University of Mannheim will also speak on the topic of educational data literacy for the e-learning industry. Following the three keynotes, participants can inform themselves and exchange ideas in expert presentations from the areas of corporate learning, digital university and school. Among other things, best-practice examples from universities will be shown, but also legal questions on the topic of home office or outlooks on future competences and future learning will be discussed.

Focus on intensive professional exchange and networking

In addition to exciting presentations by LEARNTEC exhibitors, participants will have the opportunity to find out about digital education solutions and learn about new products and services in the profiles of the more than 200 participating companies. There will also be a matchmaking service that connects participants, speakers and exhibitors according to their interests. Participants can communicate via a chat function and video calls. The "Get Together" discussion forums also offer intensive professional exchange in small groups. These take place daily during the lunch break and at the end of the event day. Every participant of the platform has the opportunity to open a Get Together to exchange ideas with any number of industry colleagues on a desired specialist topic.

Parts of the supporting programme of the trade fair will be shown online

On each of the three afternoons there will be lectures on the topic of augmented and virtual reality, which would normally have been held in the AR/VR area at the trade fair. On the second day of the event, the delina innovation prize for digital education will also be awarded, which was originally to be presented at the cancelled LEARNTEC 2021. "Of course, we don't want to keep the thirteen nominees for the delina in suspense any longer and would like to crown the winners in a dignified setting at LEARNTEC xChange," says Naumann.
