Iversity becomes part of Springer Nature

Springer Nature, a scientific publishing house, has acquired the e-learning platform Iversity with retroactive effect from October 17.

Chief Book Strategist Niels Peter Thomas points out the benefit to its authors, whose contents can be more widely distributed, as they can now also “be made available as part of the extended portfolio, and in modern learning formats.”

Iversity currently has 750.000 registered users, and there are more than one million course participants. Founder and CEO Hannes Klöpper will leave the company. Springer Nature plans to go public in 2018.
